Website Cleanup and Things to Come!

Hi Friends! Please excuse the mess as I am spending some time over the next few days tidying up the website and its search engines and shopping categories, and adding new products!

Maternity leave began early on May 8th, but as we continue to await the arrival of Reenie, I am continuing to do a bit of work behind the scenes with listing new products and web maintenance.

We had a great spring show season between events and trunk shows with Susan's Fiber Shop, The Sow's Ear, and Fiddlestick's Knits, and great turnouts at both The Madison Knitter's Guild and Wisconsin Alpaca and Fiber at The Alliant Energy Center in Madison! I am so grateful for all of the support of my small business! Now I am listing the leftovers on the website, and there are lots of fun new yarns and rovings! Over the spring I brought three new roving bases into the mix: 89/6/5 Shaniko/Acrylic/Rayon (TWEED!!!!), 100% Falkland Wool, and 80/10/10 Targhee/Bamboo/Tussah Silk. I'm loving them all, and will have all three available for purchase here within the next few days.

I've got a few things on their way here soon too!! I will be listing the 2023 KnitzAndPearls Christmas Yarn Advent Calendar within the next few days! I'm crazy in love with this year's theme and I can't wait to show you!

Additionally, mini skeins are coming to the website! I have had them available at shows since last year, but I am excited to now be bringing them to knitzandpearls.com and Etsy, in both single quantities and sets!

Another crazy fun update will be the Blacklight Reactive Gradient Fade Kit later this summer! I am currently knitting the sample piece, and the kit will include 6 100 gram neon gradient cakes ranging a rainbow from fluorescent orange to purple!

Lastly, on the table for this fall, I will have a booth at Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival, I will be participating in some capacity in Madtown Yarn Shop Hop, I am hoping to do a few trunk shows, AND since my show schedule will not be picking up again until next spring, I will be traveling around the midwest in a general 5 hour radius from Madison to seek out new yarn store wholesale partners! If you have a local yarn store that you would love to see stocking KnitzAndPearls, have them shoot me an email at knitzandpearls@gmail.com.

That's all for now! Keep an eye on the website and on our instagram page for the latest updates about Baby Mini-Skein and the yarn!

xoxo,

Meredith
